Clear Surveys - Surveying company

The Client:
Clear surveys is a building surveying and block management company in Seaford, East Sussex. They provide all surveying services, contract management and block management to residential and commercial properties in Sussex and East Kent.
The Challenge:
The company has grown and were having a new website built. They approached me, as they had written the copy themselves and knew it wasn't doing their website justice. They asked me to write new copy for all 17 pages of the new website. Part of the brief was that they wanted the reader to have all the information they needed, simply by reading the website. They were therefore happy for it to 'copy heavy' rather than light and missing information.
My approach:
My first task was to learn about the company and exactly what they do, who they are and what they stand for. I learned they are very sustainability conscious, so it was important to include that on their website.
Next, I had to do significant research to learn about the surveying sector, so that I was able to write about their services with knowledge and using the right industry terminology. There was a balance between using technical langauge and making sure it was written in such a way that the average home or business owner could understand.
The result was 17 web pages of copy that the client was extremely pleased with.
