The Client:
SASBAH is a charity that provides opportunities for young people with a range of learning disabilities.
The Project:
I was asked to produce the copy for their new leaflet. They wanted the leaflet to educate what the charity does and to promote it to possible users. And to seek and encourage volunteers.
My Solution
I wrote copy under heading for each of the opportunities and activities that the charity offers. I focused on the benefit these activities could have for the young person. So it's not simply information, but also selling the benefits.
For the volunteering section, I leaned on how volunteering would make the reader feel in themselves, knowing they are helping people in their local community. Giving ideas of fundraising challenges and events they could participate in.
